Sainsbury’s gets it in the bag and supports their local community

Sainsbury’s West Cowes has presented its local Concert Band with a Community Grant for £75.00

This will help to support the cost of new instruments

The Sainsbury’s Community Grant scheme, helping charitable groups in the local community is funded by the sales of ‘Bags for Life’. So for customers as Sainsbury’s West Cowes buying a ‘Bag for Life’. this means that they are not only doing great things for the environment but are also making a contribution to their local community.

Sainsbury’s West Cowes Store Manager, Charles Bird, said: “Our store is at the heart of the local community and it is important that we can do as much as we can to support it. When we heard about Cowes Concert Band, we were really pleased to be able to help out.”

Last year alone the Community Grants scheme provided £135k worth of donations, nominated by depot and store manager and colleagues from stores nationwide.
